Our core business involves the collecting and recycling of metal-based consumer products, metal offcuts from factories and demolition materials. In addition to our extensive ferrous and non-ferrous operations, we also process plastics, paper, cardboard, glass, drywall, wood and other materials. We specialize in manufacturer’s waste such as plastic molding scrap and purgings. Recycled products are taken to market by truck and by barge.

Our metal processing capacity includes:
- Shearing/cutting – we cut lighter gauge metals to standard sizes or to customers' requirements using shears or torches
- Baling – our balers convert mainly loose production cuttings into clean, dense, furnace-ready material
- Shredding – we shred oversize items such as light iron, cars and white goods and recover clean fragmentized steel and produce high grade raw material for secondary smelters and refiners
- Dense media separation – we use a sophisticated process to recover non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass and zinc from shredder residue, including eddy current, forced air and magnetic systems.
We also shred construction wood waste and other materials for re-use.
We sell recycled metal materials that have been processed at our facility to a broad customer base, ranging from stockholders and traders to end-users like fabricators and civil engineers.
We’ve been providing recycling and demolition services to a wide range of industrial customers across Vancouver Island for over 50 years, including: pulp mills and sawmills, utility companies, machine shops, all levels of government and other recycling companies.
