About Steel Pacific
Steel Pacific Recycling is the largest metal recycler on Vancouver Island, with depots from Victoria to Campbell River. Steel Pacific Recycling was formed when Harper’s Recycling purchased Budget Steel in 2005. For the past two years we have been operating under the temporary name “Selkirk Recycling.”
For over 50 years we’ve been providing recycling and demolition services to a wide range of customers across Vancouver Island, including: consumers, pulp mills and sawmills, utility companies, machine shops, all levels of government and other recycling companies.
Our services include:
- Collecting, sorting and processing metal and other recyclable materials
- Selling new and recycled metal at our two re-stores
- Demolishing buildings and deconstructing worksites and facilities
- Site remediation and hauling
We also offer large-item pick up services, and supply many of our customers with roll-off bins.
All of our recovery and recycling procedures maximize materials recovery and minimize environmental impact.
